10 Mistakes That Shorten the Life of Your Appliances

Vacuum

Vacuum cleaners are there for us through thick and thin, which makes it even more dramatic when they stop working. It’s not pleasant to empty the filter before or after vacuuming your entire house, but it’s something you have to do if you want your vacuum cleaner to continue running efficiently. Let’s see you deal with the dust after the overfilled unit shortens the life of this appliance!

Most bagless units have an indicator showing that the filter must be emptied but if you have a bag machine and you notice it doesn’t have as much suction, it might be a sign the dustbin is overfilled.

If you’re tempted to vacuum the small but hard objects like pennies or rocks, don’t! They can cause serious damage to the interior of your vacuum or get stuck in places where it’s difficult to remove them.
