Costco promises lower prices on many popular prescription medications compared to what you’ll find at traditional pharmacies. For example, at the warehouse club you’ll pay $12.88 (without insurance) for 30 500-mg capsules of amoxicillin, a generic antibiotic, versus an average price of $17.03 for the same dosage at a drug store, according to GoodRx.com.
Prescriptions can be picked up in-store or delivered to your home when you fill a prescription through Costco.com (registration required). Home delivery comes with free shipping when you select standard shipping. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee.
Members can also get certain prescription medications for pets filled at the warehouse club. Simply let your veterinarian know that you’re a Costco member and prefer to have the prescription filled through the warehouse club’s pharmacy instead of at their office.
