From savory to sweet
Another way to make thins Thanksgiving different from your previous ones is to replace the fad stuffing with a sweet bread pudding. What can be more comforting and delicious than a dessert complimented by a bourbon sauce or a maple syrup?
Pies, pies, and even more pies
We’ve got to hand it to them. Pies are a Thanksgiving staple food almost as much as turkey. From pumpkin pie and apple pie to mincemeat pie, sweet potato pie, cherry pie, and pecan pie, pies cannot miss at the end of any Thanksgiving Day. But what if this year we give pies a break? Or ourselves for that matter, and opt for easier and less time-consuming options?
Classic fruit torte
If you don’t have the time or mood for pie, you could try an easy and classic fruit torte. It can be prepared in under 30 minutes; you don’t need anything fancy besides seasonal fruits and a tad of whipped cream or ice cream to make it even tastier. If you’ve got something left after Thanksgiving, you could serve it with your coffee, the next morning.
