Do you feel like altering your body? If you live in Connecticut, expect the tattoo services to be taxed. In Minnesota, things are a little bit different but the idea is pretty much the same. Here, the equipment itself is taxes, things such as ink, the tattoo gun, and cleaning agents.

Other states have different rules so, depending on where you live, you could be taxed extra for piercings of permanent makeup.

Utah’s Birthday Suit Tax

We left the best for last. How could we write such a list without including Utah’s Birthday suit tax?

Basically, if you’re going to buy goods and services from a store in which the cashier isn’t fully clothed, expect to pay more. If an individual you’re doing business with is fully-clothed, the same thing applies. The extra revenue the state gets from these taxes is supposedly used to rehabilitate convicted sex offenders.
