11. Text message and email scams
One of the new, creative ways scammers have come up with are text messages or email scams. Usually the content of the memo falsely reminds you of a package you never ordered, an app you never bought and so on.
What they have in common is they always attach a link to it so you can ,,check the status” or ,,see the receipt”. You must never do that because it’s going to put a virus in your phone or give them direct access to your personal information.
That is why when you receive information of this sort call the customer support from the company which allegedly sent you the text or email. Usually the app will put emails like these directly in the spam bin.
