September ushers in the back-to-school rush, while December and November bring major holidays but also lots of stress. That’s just one of the many reasons October is our favorite month of the year. The Halloween decor, the crunchy leaves, the football – October has something for everyone, and it also happens to be the one Fall month that encourages you to relax and find your inner kid again.
Whether that means indulging in festive candy while marathoning horror movies or taking a weekend away to enjoy the wonders of nature, October is all about enjoying the beauty of the last waning days before the onslaught of holiday planning and New Year’s resolution-making sets in. As the brilliant L.M. Montgomery wrote in Anne of Green Gables, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
