#5 : Scrubbing a Fresh Carpet Stain
If you’ve just stained your carpet and your first reaction is to scrub it clean, stop! You’re probably doing more harm than good by not only ruining your carpet fibers but also pressing the stain deeper.
What you have to do instead is use a towel to blot the area until it’s dry. That way, you’re lifting most of the product, be it wine or sauce, out of your carpet first so you won’t end up scrubbing it in an even bigger area.
The second step is to use a stain lifter. Like always, read the instructions on the label, and you should be stain-free in a matter of minutes!
