According to climate scientist Deepti Singh, it’s a lot easier to say that the harm is done and you can’t do anything to change it than actually starting to do something about it.
“Well, it’s too late to do anything about it. Let’s throw our hands up and not do anything about it.” But the truth is, there’s a lot we can do about it, we just need to start somewhere. And that doesn’t mean you have to make big changes in your lifestyle. The change can start both individually and at an international level.
Firstly, in order to reduce greenhouse emissions, it would be recommended to consume fewer meat products. Let’s not forget that our present decisions are very important because our children and grandchildren are going to have to deal with them later on.
You can make small changes starting today, such as starting to recycle or reducing your car use when possible. And no, it’s never too late to do something about it, since we have so much information laying around thanks to the internet.
Therefore, this is definitely not the time to put our hands up and give up. Now is the perfect time to take action and do something about it, rather than just complaining. However, climate change is a problem that affects the entire world, so it needs a global solution as well.
