Top 41 Most Amazing Movies to Watch on Netflix Now

‘BATMAN BEGINS’ (2005)

We’ll never get tired of Christopher Nolan’s first Batman film, or of Christian Bale, who was born to be the Dark Knight. Our only quibble: That Batman saves the future King Joffrey!

‘V FOR VENDETTA’ (2005)

Activists (and hacktivists) everywhere continue to be inspired by this tale of a masked vigilante who defies an oppressive regime. Based on DC/Vertigo graphic novel by Alan Moore.

‘INSIDE MAN’ (2006)

Spike Lee’s clever heist movie pits detective Denzel Washington against masked bank robber Clive Owen… but there’s a lot more going on here than it seems.

‘ATONEMENT’ (2007)

Keira Knightley, James McAvoy, and Benedict Cumberbatch star in this big-screen version of the tragic romance by Ian McEwan. It was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including one for then-13-year-old Saorise Ronan.

‘HOT FUZZ’ (2007)

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost join forces to clean up a surprisingly corrupt small town in this hilarious action-comedy that reteams the actors with their “Shaun of the Dead” director Edgar Wright.

‘IP MAN’ (2008)

Martial arts star Donnie Yen (from “Rogue One”) plays another martial arts legend (and mentor of Bruce Lee) in the first of three “Ip Man” films.

‘INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS’ (2009)

Brad Pitt and his squad of soldiers go hunting “Nat-zees” in Quentin Tarantino’s revisionist (and wildly entertaining) World War II drama.

‘EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP’ (2010)

Prolific (but extremely mysterious) British graffiti street artist Banksy is profiled in this film that’s been declared both a legit documentary (it was nominated for an Oscar) and a mockumentary. The debate rages on!

‘FRANCES HA’ (2012)

Greta Gerwig (Oscar nominee!) stars as an aspiring (but not very good) New York dancer whose life is a messy work in progress. This insightful comedy comes from writer-director Noah Baumbach.

‘MOONRISE KINGDOM’ (2012)

Two teens run off together in this whimsical Wes Anderson film set in 1965 New England. The supporting cast — including Bruce Willis and Edward Norton — is terrific.
