Reports suggest India is now the country with the largest number of Facebook users, with a “potential audience” of 241 million active users, as the popularity of cheaper smartphones soars. Around 70% of India’s Facebook users use it via their phone.
Six new profiles are created every second. That’s a whole pool of new people to branch out to every day.
According to CNN, there are 83 million fake profiles out there. From professionals doing testing and research, to people wanting to split their Facebook usage into more than one account, it’s worth keeping an eye out.

The number of photos uploaded on FB every day? An incredible 350 million; that’s a whole lot of selfies. And if that wasn’t enough FB usage, users generate four million likes every minute and watch 100 million hours of video a day.
People spend, on average, 20 minutes a day on Facebook. That’s 121 hours every year! However, in its most recent quarterly earnings report, Facebook said usage had dropped by 50 million hours a day. But Mark Zuckerberg said that “helping people connect is more important than maximizing the time they spend on Facebook.”
In 2017, the three most talked-about news events on Facebook were: International Women’s Day, Super Bowl 51 and the Las Vegas shootings.
