9 Organizing Mistakes That Make Your House Look Messy

Don’t keep the container full

We all tend to fill our shelves with papers and books or other unnecessary things until we have no space at all for other important things, but try to avoid this mistake. According to home experts, you should never keep your shelves full, but instead, you can leave the container nearly twenty percent empty so you have enough space for your future papers. 

“Often times, we organize to the point of the container being full,” says Jamie Novak of Novak Organizing LLC. “This is a huge mistake since you are going to get more stuff and you’ll need a place to put it.”
