How Long Does Food Really Last in the Freezer?

Cooked Meats (Beef, Lamb, Veal, Pork)

Cooked: 2 to 3 months

Homemade beef stews, soups or casseroles: 2 to 3 months

Cooked beef gravy or broth: 2 to 3 months

TV dinners, frozen casseroles: 3 to 4 months

Canned beef shelf-stable products: 2 to 3 months after opening

Beef hot dogs or lunch meats, opened/unopened: 1-2 months

Tip: Always store cooked meat properly in airtight freezer-friendly containers or bags. Depending on how much you have leftover, you can freeze individual-size portions or big batches.
