13 Cleaning Mistakes You’re Probably Making at Home

Using Too Much or Too Little Laundry Detergent

Using the right amount of laundry detergent is kind of an exact science. If you use to little, your clothes won’t get clean and you’ll have to wash them again, wasting water. If you use too much, you’ll end up with a soapy residue on your clothes and, again, you might have to wash them again to get rid of it. Either way, you’re wasting a lot of water!

Trust the label of your detergent! Don’t eyeball amounts because we’re willing to bet you haven’t done as much research on how much you need to use as the companies that make your detergent!

While you’re at it, you might want to try out some fragrance-free detergent that will help eliminate bacteria-related odors form your clothes, as well as the nastiest of stains!
