This simple trick has helped me save a lot more money than I thought I could save up. By simply giving my savings account a very specific name such as ‘vacation’ or ‘new car’, I tricked my mind into saving a lot faster.
Why? It’s a motivational reminder. You’ll remember exactly how your efforts will pay off by always reading that specific name, as opposed to vague terms like ‘savings’.
Of course, you can take it one step further. Instead of naming your account ‘vacation’, you can name it ‘Europe’ or ‘Paris’, or the name of the car you’re planning on buying.
