17 Social Distancing Ideas During the COVID-19 Pandemic

14. Foster a Pet

There are way too many furry friends overcrowding shelters. With so many people worried about their jobs or health (understandably so), it’s easy to forget about all the cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes.

Some people also believe that the coronavirus can be passed on by their pet, so they have been abandoning them despite health professionals insisting this is not the case.

You can help some of the crisis by fostering a pet for the time being. Who knows, maybe you’ll meet your best friend in the process? Caring for a dog or a cat could also help with your mental and emotional state. Just remember to add food, treats and litter to your online shopping cart the next time you order groceries for yourself.
