According to a report issued by Worldwide Global Wedding, an average American couple has to shell out around $29,200 to get married in the United States. The honeymoon is not even included in this amount.

If you want to support your kids in organizing and paying for their wedding, you can do it on a much smaller budget. The important thing is to know how much you can offer them and be honest with your children about your financial possibilities. Your daughter might want the most extravagant wedding in town, but if that means robbing a bank to get the money for it, you’d better pass, no matter how much you love her.
