Maybe the person you’re speaking to is not comfortable with the topic of the conversation, your responses or the way you’re speaking to them. It’s also a good indicator that you should talk about something else or, if you’re feeling brave, ask them what’s wrong. This could open up a discussion about what they think about you. If you’re not prepared for that sort of confrontation then it’s probably time to exit the conversation altogether.
