The Nail Gun

Though the now ubiquitous air-powered nail gun had been on the market for some time, it wasn’t until 1993 that it appeared on the pages of the Family Handyman magazine. The guns, as well as compressors, weren’t as affordable back then, so DIY-ers couldn’t really justify the purchase.

By the time they were showcased in the magazine, they still cost around $200- simply not feasible for someone whose whole deal was to save money by taking care of handy work around the house themselves.
