13. And When You Try to Make Plans with Them, They’re Hard to Pin Down
Rachel Vida MacLynn also talks about plans the people around you constantly seem to ‘miss’. Are your colleagues, friends or acquaintances hard to pin down? If you’re having a hard time getting straight answers out of them about events you’ve invited them to, it might be a sign that they think you’re rude.
If they don’t want any sort of confrontation they might avoid telling you ‘no’ to your face. Instead, they’ll use excuses, tell you ‘maybe’ or that they’re unsure they can attend your outings. It might be time to consider why this keeps happening, especially if someone you’ve invited several times keeps giving you vague, noncommittal answers.
