3. They Don’t Make Eye Contact with You

If the person you’re talking to cannot seem to maintain eye contact, then it’s probably time to reevaluate how you might come across to others. Brooke Sprowl, a clinical psychotherapist knows all about this type of body language.

Not being able to maintain eye contact could mean a variety of things. Maybe the person you’re speaking to is not comfortable with the topic of the conversation, your responses or the way you’re speaking to them. It’s also a good indicator that you should talk about something else or, if you’re feeling brave, ask them what’s wrong. This could open up a discussion about what they think about you. If you’re not prepared for that sort of confrontation then it’s probably time to exit the conversation altogether.
