Repair Your Shoes Instead of Buying New Ones
Shoes can get worn out rather easily, especially if you wear them day in day out. You can save yourself money and a trip to the shoe store by fixing your old shoes instead of pitching them. Your grandparents could probably show you some tricks they used during the Great Depression.
For starters, you could use tape to cover the holes from the inside and seal them with a super-strong adhesive. The same goes for open seams. Another efficient way to keep your shoes in good shape is to clean them with toothpaste (make use of the toothpaste you just managed to scoop out by following another one of your grandparent’s trick!).
