15 Items That You Completely Forgot to Replace

Batteries

When it comes to old batteries, people don’t exactly know what to do with them and in most cases, they are left to be forgotten inside some drawer.  As a rule of thumb, batteries should be recycled but finding a place that recycles them may prove more difficult than it sounds.

In terms of priority, batteries with lithium, cadmium, lead, or sulfuric acid content may have harmful effects and should, therefore, be recycled in designated sites. On the other hand, ordinary batteries such as alkaline, manganese, and carbon-zinc ones, should still be recycled but are less toxic. You might be able to find electronic stores that collect and recycle them in your area.
