Raw milk
Another thing regulated by the FDA is the sale of raw or unpasteurized milk. The agency has banned the sale of such products across the territory of the United States because it can carry dangerous bacteria such as Salmonella, E.coli, which cause foodborne illnesses.
Although its commercialization is prohibited, state policies have allowed its selling in some states for human consumption, under certain safety rules, while in other states, the sale of raw milk is allowed only for animal consumption.
