Chocolate chip cookies
Ruth Graves Wakefield was the co-owner of the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts. In 1936, not having enough chocolate for her cookies, she replaced it with Nestlé’s semi-sweet chocolate chips. She discovered that these chips didn’t melt during the cooking process…with delicious results! Nestlé thought this was such a good idea that they decided to print the recipe on the packaging of their chocolate chips. Nestlé Toll House cookies hit the shelves a few years later!
