A change of scenery might just be the best mood booster out there. If you’re stuck in a rut, try discovering a new place — it could just make you happier and reduce your overall stress. A study commissioned by Booking.com found that 49 percent of participants said that traveling made them happier than the day they got married and 50 percent said that travel made them happier than getting a big new job. Even if you don’t have the cash for a big trip, just trying out a new town for the day could yield major results.
