CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS PROVED THE EARTH IS ROUND
Neither Christopher Columbus or any of his colleagues believed the Earth was flat or that they would fall off the end of the world if they sailed too far. Virtually every educated person in the West, secular and religious, knew the world was round by the third century B.C.
