Do not push your furniture against the wall

Even though you probably believe that pushing your furniture up against the wall is a good idea to make your home look bigger, but this is actually a big mistake.

 So, in this sense, if you want to create the illusion of a bigger space, all you have to do is to move your furniture two to three inches away from the wall. This way you will create an interesting shadow that will make your home visually bigger.
