Reminiscing
Reminiscing might be the first thing on your quarantine to-do list but taking a trip down memory lane will actually do you good. In fact, according to Chris Weller, senior reporter for Medical Daily, “nostalgia has psychological and physiological benefits. Not only does nostalgizing, as the researchers call it, help us feel physically warmer when we do it; we also feel more hopeful about our futures and emotionally closer to those around us.”
You can start by scrolling back to your very first posts on Instagram or Facebook, play home videos or peruse your collection of photo albums. Whether you reminisce over a glass of wine with your loved one, flip through an old photo album, or search through the contents of your “special memories” box, time is on your side!
