Make a conscious effort to focus only on what’s going on in the present moment, rather than what could happen or what’s going to happen down the road—you’l likely find
yourself happier for it. When Harvard University researchers analyzed the impact of people’s thoughts on their emotions, they found that “people are thinking about
what is not happening almost as often as they are thinking about what is and… doing so typically makes them unhappy.”
