BULK BUYS IN GENERAL
One reason a lot of people like shopping at Aldi is that you can find regular quantities of items at warehouse-like prices. This is especially good for those who don’t need to bulk up on anything in particular.
The bad news is, however, that buying in bulk is actually not cost-effective. Weird, right? Well, it’s the truth.
Those of you who already have a warehouse-club membership should take full advantage of it instead of relying on Aldi for bulk buys. You’ll find that larger quantities are cheaper at Sam’s Club or Costco. On top of that, buying at Costco also opens up the possibility of buying Kirkland brand items which are known to be of superior quality while maintaining low prices.
SPECIALTY FOODS
It’s best not to get too attached to anything labeled “Aldi Find” or “Special buy”. This is the store’s way of telling their shoppers that these items are only on shelves temporarily. You could very well find something fantastic both in terms of quality and price, but you’re not guaranteed to find it during a later visit.
The bottom line is this: if you’re going to buy these items, don’t get too attached. Since they’re not part of Aldi’s normal repertoire, who knows when you’re going to find them next!
If you’re the type of person that frequently falls in love with new finds, save yourself the heartache and stay away from these labels!
